Academic and Administrative Staff Exchange

The teaching-training and management components are strongly connected with the capacity building of the project staff through team teaching both at Addis Ababa University and at the University of Vienna. In this exercise, substantial experience sharing among the project staff and the students of the two universities will occur. Furthermore, the exchange of experience between the professionals at the Students Disability Centres at Addis Ababa University and University of Vienna will contribute to the improvement of the quality of services rendered in both partner institutions.

Sandra Schütz and Gertraud Kremsner visited Addis Ababa between 6th and 14th of November 2014

Next to lectures held for PhD and MA students, Sandra Schütz and Gertraud Kremsner met with the collaboration partners, a representative from the Ministry of Education and visited a local school as well as the Disability Center at AAU.

Project Coordinator's visit to 7 Ethiopian Universities from November 15th to December 7th 2013

During his stay in Ethiopia from November 15 to December 7, 2013, the project coordinator, Prof. Gottfried Biewer, visited 7 of the outlying 10 Universities cooperating with Addis Ababa University in the RESPOND-HER project. The situation of students with disabilities was investigated by surveys, interviews and focus group discussions for the Addis Ababa University and these 10 Universities. The study will be published by the Ethiopian RESPOND-HER team in 2014.

The visits of the project coordinator were prepared by the local staff of the RESPOND-HER project.
